Obverse description The obverse features the coat of arms of Estonia centrally positioned to the left — a shield bearing three blue leopards (lions passant) on a gold field, flanked by decorative oak branches rendered in fine relief against the frosted field. To the right, the legend EESTI VABARIIK is inscribed vertically in large serif lettering, reading from bottom to top. The date 2025 appears horizontally to the right of centre, set in a clean, modern typeface. The overall design contrasts polished and matte surfaces to achieve a refined proof finish.

Additional information

Lilli Suburg (1841–1923) was a pioneering Estonian journalist and writer who founded Linda, the first Estonian women's magazine, in 1887 — an act of considerable cultural defiance under Tsarist-era Russification policies that were actively suppressing Baltic vernacular publishing. The magazine ran until 1905 and shaped a generation of Estonian-language literacy among women at a moment when that literacy was itself a political act.
