| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Ferdinand II facing right, with short curly hair and a neatly trimmed beard, rendered in a neoclassical style. The Latin legend FERDINANDVS II. DEI GRATIA REX arcs around the upper periphery, while the date 1844 appears in the lower exergue beneath the truncation. The portrait is finely engraved with strong relief, exhibiting considerable sculptural quality typical of Neapolitan royal coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | Full-length standing figure of the Bourbon Genius, draped in classical robes, occupying the center of the field. To the left stands a column surmounted by a royal crown, while an oval heraldic shield appears to the right. A three-line inscription in the exergue details the fineness and denomination of the coin, with the peripheral legend citing the royal titles of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, Jerusalem, and Hungary. |
