Obverse description Effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored field, as designed by Susanna Blunt. The Queen is depicted bareheaded with a necklace and earring, her mature portrait characteristic of coinage from the early 21st century. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left rim, while D·G·REGINA arcs along the upper right rim, both in raised Latin lettering. The overall composition is restrained and formal, consistent with standard Commonwealth regal portraiture.

Reverse description Central design features a stylized ram standing in three-quarter profile on a rocky ledge, its prominent curved horns and woolly fleece rendered with fine detail against a polished proof field. To the lower left, a large Chinese character 羊 (meaning 'sheep' or 'goat') is incused in bold strokes, evoking traditional Chinese calligraphic style in reference to the Lunar Year of the Sheep. Decorative grasses or reeds appear in the right background, adding a natural pastoral element to the composition. The engraver's initials AC appear in small relief at lower center. The legend CANADA 2015 curves along the upper rim, while 15 DOLLARS is inscribed in a straight line across the lower field.
