| Reverse description | A seated rabbit rendered in frosted relief occupies the lower centre of the mirror-polished field, its ears erect and gaze directed upward to the right. Overhanging willow branches with finely detailed pendant leaves form a canopy across the upper portion of the scalloped lotus-shaped flan, their trailing fronds cascading along the right border. To the lower right of the rabbit appears the Chinese character '兔' (Rabbit) in a calligraphic style, while the engraver's initials 'CRR' are inscribed to the lower left. The overall composition evokes traditional East Asian artistic imagery within the distinctive eight-lobed lotus outline. |
