| Additional information |
The Perth Mint's lunar series has become one of the more carefully managed bullion programs in the modern market, with each animal year struck in strictly limited quantities and not repeated. The 2010 Tiger issue corresponds to the Year of the Geng Yin Tiger in the traditional Chinese sexagenary cycle — a year considered particularly auspicious, as the Tiger sign carries associations with strength and authority that made this release commercially significant across East and Southeast Asian markets from the outset.
KM#1375 is the smallest gold denomination in Perth's lunar bullion range for this year, struck in .9999 fine gold rather than the more common .9167 standard used by many sovereign issues of the period.
