| Additional information |
The "Cloud Stepper" belongs to Perth Mint's Lunar Series II, which ran from 2008 through 2019 covering a full twelve-year zodiac cycle. Series II distinguished itself from its predecessor by introducing high-relief strikes and, in several years, named individual designs within the horse year's release schedule. The 3.111g weight corresponds to one-tenth troy ounce — a fraction Perth Mint has consistently used to offer lower entry-point gold at legal tender face values calibrated to Australian currency law.
The 2014 Horse year issues sold out allocation quickly; the named sub-issues within it moved faster than the standard bullion strikes.
