Reverse description The reverse presents an intricately detailed snake rendered in the style of traditional Chinese folk art, its sinuous body coiled into the form of the numeral eight — the luckiest number in Chinese culture, symbolising wealth and prosperity. Orchid blooms and foliage, the snake's associated lucky flower, surround and intertwine with the figure, positioning the serpent within a tree-like composition that alludes to the Wood element governing the 2025 lunar cycle. The snake's head is oriented toward the East, a direction considered auspicious for this zodiac sign. A Chinese character for 'snake' (蛇) appears as part of the design. The legend CANADA 2025 15 DOLLARS and the designer's initials JP are inscribed along the lower portion of the field.
