| Obverse description | The obverse presents a bold, concentric design executed in gold plating with vivid red coloured highlights. The outermost ring features a repeating Greek key (meander) border in red and gold. Within this border, twelve panels each display one of the Chinese zodiac animals rendered in red relief against a gold ground. An intermediate ring contains the eight trigrams (bagua) of Chinese cosmology, arranged in their traditional circular sequence. At the centre, the coat of arms of the Republic of Ghana is depicted in full colour, surmounted by the legend REPUBLIC OF GHANA and below by the inscriptions 1 oz Ag 999, 15 CEDIS, and 2026. |
