Reverse description A panoramic circular landscape of Hungary surrounds a central medallion from which rays emanate in three directions, symbolising the Holy Trinity; at the centre of the medallion a polished equilateral triangle in relief represents the Trinitarian symbol alluded to in the sacred character of the Hymnus. A circular legend reading 'NYÚJTS FELÉJE VÉDŐ KART HA KÜZD ELLENSÉGGEL' — a quotation from the Hymnus — encircles the central device, punctuated by a dot at either end. The surrounding panoramic frieze depicts, in clockwise order, the iconic Hungarian landscapes and sites mentioned or associated with the poem: Tihany, Lake Balaton, Szigliget, Esztergom, the Danube Bend, Visegrád, Eger, Tokaj, and Kölcsey's grave at Szatmárcseke, which is prominently placed at the bottom centre. The designer's monogram 'SET' (Soltra E. Tamás) is discretely incorporated into the depiction of Tokaj.
