| Obverse description | Central device depicts a large wax seal in high relief, its irregular broken edges rendered with fine detail, bearing an intricate interlaced knotwork rosette motif surmounted by a patriarchal cross, all within an oval cartouche. Two twisted cords extend horizontally across the field from either side of the seal, evoking the traditional method of affixing official seals to legal documents.
