| Reverse description | Two large colossal stone heads depicted in high relief, inspired by the monumental statues of Mount Nemrut (Nemrud Dagi), the UNESCO World Heritage Site in southeastern Turkey. The heads, wearing tall tiered crowns or headdresses, are shown side by side facing the viewer, representing royal or divine effigies from the ancient Commagene kingdom. The legend 'NEMRUD' arcs along the upper left rim, and the date '2003' appears in the lower exergue. |

| Additional information |
Turkey's Darphane introduced this Nemrud series to capitalize on international collector interest in the Commagene funerary monument at Mount Nemrut — a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. The fractional gold format placed it squarely in the bullion gift market rather than any meaningful numismatic tradition, and the 15,000,000 lira face value reflects the extraordinary depreciation of the Turkish lira before the 2005 redenomination stripped six zeros from the currency.
