Obverse description Radiate bust of Helios facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with characteristically bold, splayed sun-rays emanating from the crown of the head. The youthful, idealized effigy displays carefully modeled curling locks falling about the neck and shoulder, with delicate facial features including a slightly parted mouth. The field is plain, with no legend, and the flan exhibits the typical irregular fabric associated with Rhodian hammered gold coinage of this period.
