| Reverse description | Highly stylised and abstracted representation of a Roman trophy, rendered in the Celtic tradition. Two opposed curved elements, suggestive of arms or transverse bars, appear at approximately the five and seven o'clock positions, each decorated with cross-hatching. Rectangular box-like elements with internal cross-hatching flank the central motif at the three and nine o'clock positions, forming the lateral extremities of the trophy composition. The overall design reflects the Cantian Celtic artist's geometric reinterpretation of a Roman military trophy. |
