Reverse description A crowned double-headed imperial eagle dominates the reverse field, displayed with spread wings, each head surmounted by a small crown beneath the central imperial crown. On the eagle's breast is an escutcheon bearing the combined arms of Austria and ancient Burgundy. The surrounding Latin legend abbreviates Leopold II's archducal and ducal titles: ARCH·AUST·D·BURG·LOTH·BRAB·C·FL·, expanding to Archidux Austriae Dux Burgundiae Lotharingiae Brabantiae Comes Flandriae. The date appears within the legend at the base of the reverse.
