Obverse description Draped bust of Aphrodite facing left, wearing a turreted or stephane crown, rendered in fine archaic-classical style typical of Cypriot coinage. The effigy occupies the central field, with the Greek inscription MEN (abbreviated form of the dynast's name, Menelaos) positioned in the right field. The portraiture reflects the artistic conventions of late fourth-century BC Salaminian mint production.
