Obverse description Central circular cartouche bearing the numeral 13 (١٣) in Arabic, surrounded by a circular Arabic legend reading the titles of Sultan Abdulmecid Khan, all enclosed within a wreath of laurel or olive branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The legend is arranged in a thin circular band around the central value cartouche, consistent with the thin legend variety. The coin has a plain milled border.
