| Obverse description | A semi-draped female allegorical figure stands in the center field, her right hand resting on a parapet and her left hand holding a laurel wreath; to her left, a circular medallion in relief depicts the right-facing bust of Daniel Loos, the mint's founder, framed by a laurel wreath with his name inscribed. Inscribed legends to the left record the commemorative purpose and dates 1776–1901, while a panel to the right lists successive owners of the Berlin medallic mint. The maker's signature A. KRÜGER FEC. appears in the lower right field. |
