| Obverse description | The arms of the Republic of Liberia occupy the central field, depicting a sailing ship at sea before a rising sun, a palm tree, a dove in flight, a plough and a spade, all within a shield surmounted by a scroll bearing the national motto 'THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE'. The legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA arcs along the upper periphery, and the date 2006 is divided across the lower field flanking the shield. The fineness mark 999.9 Au appears at the lower left, and the denomination 125 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower rim, with the Pobjoy Mint mark PM at the lower right. |
