Reverse description Enthroned figure of the Virgin Mary seated upon clouds, wearing a star-studded crown and holding the Christ Child on her lap; the Infant raises his right hand in benediction. The composition is rendered in a Baroque devotional style typical of Genoese coinage of the period. The Latin legend ET REGE EOS, meaning 'and govern them,' arcs around the upper field, with the date 1758 appearing to the right. A fine milled border encircles the entire design.
