| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Albert II occupies the central field, rendered in high relief against a plain mirror background. To the left of the portrait, a stylized royal crown is depicted above a rectangular shield motif with horizontal lines. The legend ALBERTVS II appears in bold serif lettering along the lower field, with the date 2011 struck beneath it. The composition is framed by two horizontal lines at the top and bottom of the field, giving the design a structured, architectural quality consistent with Luc Luycx's medallic style. |
