Obverse description The field depicts a military parade scene in relief, showing a uniformed officer reviewing a column of marching soldiers with bayoneted muskets. In the lower portion, two gold-plated inlaid coin reproductions of the 1778 Hesse-Hanau Sterntaler (KM# 516) are prominently displayed: the obverse showing a laureate bust of Frederick II with surrounding legend, and the reverse featuring a radiant star with crowned shield dated 1778. Below the coins, a facsimile of a period banknote or document is rendered in the field. The legend GLANZ UND GLORIA arcs across the top and bottom of the medal.
