| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped bust of Ferdinando IV facing right, with elaborately curled hair adorned with a small floral ornament at the crown. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the neoclassical style, with fine detail in the flowing locks and lace cravat. A raised inner circle frames the portrait, separating it from the surrounding legend. The circular Latin legend reads FERDINANDVS IV·D·G·REX along the upper arc, with the date 1805 prominently placed in the exergue below the bust.
