| Obverse description | Bare-headed, bearded effigy of King Ferdinando II facing right, with finely engraved curly hair and a short beard rendered in naturalistic detail characteristic of the Neapolitan neoclassical style. The truncation of the neck is plain and unadorned. The circumferential legend reads FERDINANDVS II . DEI GRATIA REX, with the mint date appearing in the lower exergual area below the portrait. The coin is framed by a fine inner border of closely set beads. |
