Obverse description Right-facing crowned bust of King Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies, depicted with elaborately engraved curling hair and wearing a detailed royal crown. The effigy is rendered in high relief in a bold, neoclassical style characteristic of early 19th-century Neapolitan coinage. The circumferential legend encircles the bust and the mint date appears at the base of the portrait in the lower field. A fine beaded border frames the entire design.

Reverse description Central field occupied by the large, elaborately quartered royal coat of arms of the Two Sicilies, surmounted by a royal crown and encircled by a decorative wreath of laurel and floral ornaments with rosettes at the base. The shield displays the complex heraldic quarterings of the Bourbon dynasty of Naples and Sicily. The circumferential legend runs along the upper portion of the coin, with the denomination G.120 appearing to the right within the legend. A beaded border frames the reverse.
