| Obverse description | Central field displays the interlaced royal cypher of Frederik IV — two mirrored Gothic 'F4' monograms crossed and surmounted by a large ornate crown with arched band and cross finial. The circular Latin legend DOMINVS · MIHI · ADIVTOR · (The Lord is my helper) runs along the rim, separated by pellets. The coin is struck with a fine milled border. The design is executed in high relief with strong baroque stylistic elements typical of early 18th-century Danish coinage. |
