Obverse description Phoenician war galley (bireme) sailing to the right, rendered in fine relief with oars extended along the hull and three masts bearing furled sails depicted as globular finials; the prow features a prominent ram at the waterline. Below the vessel, two registers of stylized waves fill the lower field, conveying the open sea. The entire composition is framed by a dotted border, characteristic of early Sidonian silver coinage.
