Additional information

Ibrahim Khan Afshar governed the Afsharid realm briefly in 1749 after the assassination of Adil Shah, himself a usurper who had blinded and deposed Shahrokh. The Afsharid succession in this period was a rapid sequence of coups, blindings, and killings — Ibrahim's own reign lasted only months before he too was overthrown and blinded. Coins attributable to his name are consequently scarce, and establishing precise mint attributions remains difficult given the disrupted state of the imperial administration during these weeks.
