Obverse description Crowned town arms of Werne displayed within a beaded inner circle, with the date integrated into the surrounding legend. The shield bears a stylized heraldic device characteristic of Westphalian civic coinage of the early seventeenth century. The encircling inscription reads STADT * WERNE * 1610, rendered in Gothic lettering with pellet stops separating the elements. The overall style reflects the crude, hand-struck workmanship typical of German municipal copper issues of the period.
