Obverse description Bust of Emperor Constans II depicted full-length, facing, beardless, attired in imperial chlamys and crowned with a cross on circlet diadem. In his right hand he holds a long ceremonial staff, occasionally surmounted by a Chi-Rho monogram, while his left hand bears a globus cruciger topped with a potent cross. The figure is rendered in the flat, hieratic style characteristic of mid-seventh-century Byzantine provincial coinage.

Reverse description Central design features a horizontal bar dividing the field. Above the bar, a cross potent on a globe is flanked on either side by the Greek numeral letters I and B, denoting the value of 12 nummi. Below the bar, the Alexandrian mint mark is inscribed. The composition is austere and purely symbolic, consistent with late Byzantine bronze fractional coinage.
