Obverse description Uniface cast bronze coin featuring the two-character inscription 半兩 (Ban Liang, meaning 'half liang') flanking a central square hole, read from right to left in the field. The characters are rendered in an archaic clerical script style, cast in low relief against an otherwise plain, unbordered field. The coin exhibits no rim inscription or decorative border, consistent with late Western Han Ban Liang typology. The square hole is cleanly cast, serving both a functional and symbolic purpose in Han monetary tradition.

Reverse description Reverse is entirely blank and uninscribed, presenting a plain, flat field with no design elements, legends, or decorative features. The central square hole is visible, and the surface shows the natural patina and casting texture typical of Han dynasty bronze coinage. This uniface treatment is characteristic of the Ban Liang series throughout its period of issue.
