| Obverse description | Round cast bronze coin featuring a central square perforation, with the two-character inscription 半兩 (Ban Liang) disposed symmetrically in the field — one character to the left and one to the right of the central hole. The characters are rendered in an archaic seal script style typical of the Warring States period Qin coinage, with raised relief against a plain, undecorated field. No inner or outer rim rims are present, consistent with the light type designation. The surfaces display a patina of green cuprite and malachite corrosion products characteristic of ancient Chinese bronze casting. |

| Reverse description | Plain, unadorned reverse with a central square perforation, exhibiting no inscription, decoration, or raised rim. The flat field shows an irregular surface texture resulting from the original sand or clay casting process, with areas of green and brown patination across the bronze. This blank reverse is entirely typical of Ban Liang cash coinage of the Warring States and early imperial Qin period. |
