Reverse description Central field displays the quartered heraldic shield of the Duchy of Liegnitz-Brieg, surmounted by an ornate crowned helmet with mantling, presenting the combined arms of the ruling Piast line of Silesia. The shield quarters incorporate the characteristic chequered and eagle motifs associated with the Liegnitz and Brieg territories. The surrounding Latin legend reads GROSSVS. ARGENT. SEXD., denoting a silver groschen of six (double) kreuzers denomination, with the date 1621 incorporated into the legend. A beaded border runs along the coin's outer rim.
