Reverse description Quartered heraldic shield of Palatinate-Zweibrücken, displaying the Bavarian lozengy field in the first and fourth quarters and the Palatinate lion in the second and third quarters, with additional smaller escutcheons at the base. The denomination numeral '12' appears prominently within an oval cartouche or shield at the top of the arms, with the date flanking the shield in the field, divided as '16' to the left and '20' (or '21'/'22' for later years) to the right. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with the religious motto legend surrounding the shield in the outer field.
