Château-Regnault was a tiny principality on the Meuse in the Ardennes, and its coinage rights were exercised aggressively by Charlotte de la Trémoille's family during the Thirty Years' War period — producing types that circulated almost nowhere outside the immediate region and were frequently challenged by neighboring authorities as irregular. Louise-Marguerite de Bourbon-Conti held the principality briefly, and issues struck under her name are poorly documented; the absence of Boudeau and Poey d'Avant numbers here reflects genuine cataloguing gaps rather than modern oversight.
