Reverse description Central device consisting of the crowned arms of the Grimaldi family — a shield bearing the heraldic lozenges (fusils) of the House of Grimaldi — surmounted by a princely crown. The shield is set within a beaded inner border, with the circumferential Latin legend reading MARC CAMPANIAE COM CANVSII ET C G.XII, referencing Honoré II's titles as Marquis of Campagna and Count of Canosio. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, consistent with hammered production at the Monaco Mint.
