Obverse description Central field displays the arms of the Republic of Geneva within a circular border: the shield divided per pale, the dexter side bearing a displayed eagle and the sinister side featuring a key surmounted by a cross, rendered in fine engraving. The shield is encircled by a wreath of oak branches tied with a ribbon at the base. The peripheral legend reads GENEVE · REPUBLIQUE · L'AN · IV · DE L'EGALITE, distributed around the entire circumference, separated by small floral ornaments, all within a reeded border.
