Reverse description Laureate and draped bust of Holy Roman Emperor Francis I facing right, rendered in finely engraved high relief in the Baroque manner, with elaborate periwig and richly ornamented armour visible at the truncation. The portrait displays considerable artistic refinement, with the emperor's features shown in sharp profile and the drapery of his mantle worked in precise detail. The engraver's signature I.L. OEXLEIN.f. appears at the lower truncation of the bust. The surrounding circular Latin legend, separated by dot stops, identifies the emperor by his full imperial title.
