| Obverse description | Frontal bull's head in three-quarter view, turned slightly to the right, rendered in bold relief characteristic of early Central Italian cast bronze coinage. The heavy, naturalistic modelling of the muzzle, horns, and dewlap reflects the archaic Italic artistic tradition. The flan is large, thick, and irregular, consistent with the aes grave casting technique of the period. The surface exhibits a heavy encrustation typical of long-buried bronze issues of this series. |

| Reverse description | Prow of a warship (rostrum) facing right in left profile, depicted with characteristic horizontal hull timbers and a prominent forecastle, rendered in schematic but confident relief. Immediately to the left of the prow appears the value mark S (sigma or Latin S), indicating the semis denomination, equivalent to one-half of the as unit. The design follows the standard iconographic convention of the Central Italian aes grave series attributed to the Praeneste mint or its vicinity. The flan is thick and irregular, consistent with the cast production method. |
