Obverse description Pegasos, the winged horse sacred to Corinth, depicted in flight to the left, with wings spread and forelegs raised. The figure is rendered in low relief in the compact style characteristic of Corinthian bronze coinage of the early Hellenistic period. The field is plain, with no legend or additional devices. The irregular flan and shallow striking are typical of municipally produced bronze issues of this era.
