| Reverse description | Draped bust of a local nymph facing right, her hair bound and rendered in fine parallel incised lines beneath a diadem or headband, in the classical Greek style. The partial ethnic inscription ΝΕΟΠΟ arcs around the upper field, identifying the issuing city of Neapolis. An uncertain symbol or control mark appears to the left of the bust in the field. The overall style is consistent with Macedonian civic bronze coinage of the fifth and fourth centuries BC. |
