Obverse description Forepart of a horse's head and neck depicted in right profile, rendered with fine naturalistic detail including a flowing mane; the image is contained within a beaded border. A single pellet appears in the right field. The style reflects Punic artistic influence with strong Sicilian Greek workshop traditions.

Reverse description A stylized date palm tree occupies the full field, depicted frontally with a symmetrical spray of fronds radiating outward from a central trunk; two small date clusters or offshoots are visible at the base of the trunk on either side. The palm was a quintessential Carthaginian emblem, symbolic of the city and its Phoenician heritage, rendered in bold relief on the plain flat field.
