Reverse description Square klippe flan with a matching border of raised bosses echoing the obverse design. The central circular field displays a large double-headed imperial eagle with outstretched wings, a crown above each head and an imperial orb or shield at its breast. The surrounding circular legend, interrupted by the eagle's heads and crown, reads FERDINANDVS. II. ROM. IMP. SEMPER. AV., referencing Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand II. The inscription is contained within a raised rim consistent with the hammered klippe format.
