Reverse description Elaborately quartered heraldic shield of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, surmounted by multiple crowned helms with richly mantled crests including a horse and a lion among other dynastic devices, rendered in the high Baroque style characteristic of seventeenth-century German Löser coinage. The shield displays the traditional dynastic quarterings of Brunswick and Lüneburg. The mintmaster's initials HS appear in the lower field flanking the base of the shield. The date 1664 and the motto legend are incorporated into the surrounding inscription.
