Obverse description Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantine I facing right, wearing a jewelled diadem with prominent central ornament and lateral pendilia. The emperor's features are rendered with confident late Roman portraiture: a strong jaw, slightly parted lips, and a firm gaze to the right. The cuirass is elaborately detailed with pteryges visible at the shoulder, conveying imperial military authority. The encircling Latin legend reads CONSTANTI-NVS MAX AVG, divided across the field by the portrait. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, consistent with hammered gold production of the Constantinian period.
