| Reverse description | Central field displays the denomination mark composed of the Roman numeral I surmounted by a fraction indicator, denoting the value of 1½ réis, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding Latin legend reads PORTVGALIA.ET.ALG, referencing Portugal and the Algarve, accompanied by the date and the value notation *I*1/2* disposed around the periphery. The beaded border and the general layout are characteristic of the cast copper ceitil and real series produced under the Portuguese regency. Surface patination and casting irregularities are consistent with the period production technique. |
