| Obverse description | Central field bears the civic arms of Osnabrück — the wheel of Osnabrück (a stylised cartwheel with six spokes) depicted within a raised inner circle. Flanking the central device on either side are small floral or foliate ornaments. The peripheral legend STADT OSNABRÜCK, denoting the issuing city, arcs around the upper portion of the coin, with the denomination numeral 1 1/2 appearing in the lower portion of the legend, all rendered in Roman capitals against the flat copper field. |
