Obverse description Central field depicts the wheel of Osnabrück — a spoked wheel device rendered within a circular border, characteristic of the city's civic heraldic emblem. The wheel is surrounded by a beaded or rope-pattern inner ring, itself enclosed within a further concentric border. The design is executed in the flat, bold style typical of late 16th-century German municipal hammered coinage. No legend appears on this side.
