Reverse description The fractional denomination '1½' appears in large numerals beneath a small royal crown, centred within a wreath composed of oak branches tied at the base. The date is inscribed below the wreath in the lower field. The overall composition is compact and well-proportioned for the small module, consistent with Merlen's reverse designs for British Maundy and colonial fractional coinage. An overdate variety (1843/34) is recorded for the 1843 issue.
