| Obverse description | Central device features the Imperial Austrian double-headed eagle displayed, each head surmounted by a separate crown, the whole topped by a larger Imperial crown, with the quartered Habsburg arms on a central escutcheon. The eagle is rendered in fine detail with spread wings and displayed talons. A beaded inner border separates the central device from the circumferential Latin legend reading FRANC·II·D·G·R·I·S·A·GE·HV·BO·REX·A·A·D·VENET, denoting Francis II's full royal and imperial titulature. The outer rim is milled. |

| Reverse description | The reverse field bears the denomination expressed as '1 1/2' in large numerals with flanking six-pointed star ornaments, followed on two lines by the inscription LIRA VENETA, the date 1802, and the Vienna mint mark 'A' at the foot of the field. A beaded inner border frames the central inscription, itself enclosed within an ornamental outer border of repeating scroll and cartouche motifs, giving the reverse a distinctly decorative character consistent with Venetian provincial coinage of the period. |
