| Obverse description | The classic Sower figure, adapted from Oscar Roty's celebrated design, strides boldly to the left across a stylized background evoking the euro coin series, with radiating lines and vertical bars flanking the central device. The figure is depicted in flowing robes, her hair windswept, scattering seed from a bag held in her left hand. Twelve five-pointed stars of the European flag are arranged around the periphery of the coin. The divided date '20' and '08' appears at lower left and lower right respectively, while the monogram 'RF' (République Française) is inscribed within a shield element at center right. |
